There are thousands of videos out there that inspire. What does it make you feel like? Does it enliven something within? What does it make you want to do? I believe the best videos out there are the ones that inspire us to act. They give us the courage, determination, and will to do something. Inspiration is the way we invite others to action. Do you ever act on a challenge when you haven’t felt inspired by the teacher?
in·spireverb1. To fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.
1. Be Inspired Yourself!
2. Let Them Interpret.
Let’s not get stuck in the “guess what I’m thinking” rut. Members of the class will be inspired by your asking, “What did you like best about this quote?” Not by being asked, “What do we learn from this?” The first says, “What did you think?”, and the second says, “What do I think?” Going back to the painter analogy, the painter may have his interpretation of what he has painted, but the true beauty of his art is in each person’s own interpretation of it. We all see different details of the world, and each of us understands differently. And you know what? That is OK! In fact, it’s great! As teachers we need to emphasis on that fact, and use it in our discussions. Isn’t that the whole reason for discussions? So we can not only see things in one color, but in many different shades of color.
3. Use videos, talks, and quotes.
Like I said in the beginning, there are thousands of inspiring videos out there. Use them! I’ve found that another’s words can explain things better than I can. Using videos, talks, and quotes keeps the discussion open to many ideas when used with good follow-up questions. Ask the class to share a doctrine that was taught, something they felt the Spirit testify of, or an experience that goes along with it. You can use your words to testify of the truth spoken of in the video/talk/quote, and that is what is inspiring. Your testimony is what inspires the members of your class. Bearing your testimony is the action that leads others to take action.
“But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.” (Moroni 7:13)

When have you been challenged by a teacher to do something, and you actually did it? What inspired you to do it?
